From the center of Macasandig, head towards the main road and look for a local jeepney terminal. You can catch a jeepney going to Barangay Macasandig or Cagayan de Oro proper. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to the Old Abandoned Water Reservoir, as they might know the general area. Alight at the nearest point to the reservoir, which is typically near the barangay hall. From there, it’s a short 10-15 minute walk uphill through a small path leading to the reservoir.

If you prefer a faster route, you can take a jeepney from the Macasandig terminal heading towards Cagayan de Oro proper. Inform the driver to drop you off near the junction of FJ8X+8VF. The fare is usually around 10-15 PHP. Once you get off, walk uphill towards the coordinates FJ8X+8VF, where you will find the Old Abandoned Water Reservoir. The walk should take about 10 minutes.

For a more direct approach, you can hire a motorcycle taxi, known as habal-habal, from anywhere in Macasandig.
