Car
If you are driving, the starting point for your journey to Mt. Kalayo is from Cagayan de Oro City. Take the Sayre Highway (AH26) heading towards Bukidnon. Follow the highway for approximately 80 kilometers until you reach the town of Maramag. Once in Maramag, turn right onto the road leading to Musuan. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers, and you will find the entrance to Mt. Kalayo on your left. Make sure to check for local traffic signs that will guide you to the exact location.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Mt. Kalayo via public transportation, start from Cagayan de Oro City. Head to the Agora Bus Terminal and take a bus bound for Bukidnon, specifically those heading to Maramag. The bus fare is approximately 100-150 PHP. The journey will take around 2-3 hours. Upon arrival in Maramag, you can take a tricycle or a local jeepney to Musuan, which should cost around 20-30 PHP. Inform the driver that you are heading to Mt. Kalayo, and they will drop you off at the entrance.

After reaching Musuan from Maramag, you can hire a tricycle to take you to Mt. Kalayo. The fare for this ride is around 50 PHP, and it should take about 15 minutes to reach the entrance of Mt. Kalayo. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as prices can vary depending on your destination and time of day.
