Car
From Bacolod City, head north on the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road. Continue onto the Circumferential Road until you reach the junction for the San Carlos City Road. Follow the signs towards San Carlos City, which is approximately a 2-hour drive. Upon entering San Carlos City, follow the local roads towards the Mayana Peak trailhead. Parking is available near the entrance. Note that some roads may be unpaved and steep, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Bus
Take a bus from Bacolod City to San Carlos City. Buses leave from the South Terminal and the journey will take around 2 to 3 hours, costing approximately 150-200 PHP. Once you arrive at San Carlos City, you may need to hire a tricycle to take you to the trailhead for Mayana Peak, which may cost around 50-100 PHP. Ensure to agree on the fare beforehand.
Tricycle
If you are already in San Carlos City, you can hire a tricycle to take you to the Mayana Peak trailhead. The ride will take about 15-30 minutes depending on traffic and road conditions. The cost should be around 100-150 PHP. Make sure to negotiate the fare upfront as prices may vary.
Hiking
Once you reach the trailhead for Mayana Peak, prepare for a hike. The trail can be steep and may take around 1.5 to 3 hours to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level. Bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are no facilities on the way up. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes.
