Car
If you're driving, head to Zakopane, which is the main town in the Tatra Mountains. From Zakopane, take the S7 route towards Nowy Targ. After approximately 8 km, turn onto the DK47 road towards Poronin. Continue for about 5 km and look for signs directing you to the Tatra National Park entrance at 'Brzeziny'. Park your car at the designated parking area (there is a small fee for parking, generally around 10 PLN per day). From the parking area, follow the marked hiking trail towards 'Buczynowa Siklawa'. The hike will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace and the trail conditions.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, catch a bus from Krakow to Zakopane at the main bus station. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 2-2.5 hours, costing around 30-40 PLN. Once in Zakopane, you can take a local bus or taxi to the Tatra National Park entrance at 'Brzeziny'. Local buses operate regularly, but it's best to check the current schedule as it may vary. Upon arrival at the Brzeziny entrance, you'll find a parking area where you can start your hike to 'Buczynowa Siklawa'. The hike will take about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Hiking
Once you reach the Tatra National Park entrance at Brzeziny, you will follow the marked trail towards 'Buczynowa Siklawa'. The trail is scenic and well-maintained, leading you through beautiful landscapes of the Tatra Mountains. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water and snacks. The hike is moderate in difficulty and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so plan accordingly.
