Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Zakopane, which is a popular base for exploring the Tatra Mountains. Head west on the S7 road towards Kościelisko. After approximately 6 km, turn right onto the road leading to Kościelisko. Continue straight for about 3 km until you reach the village center. From there, follow the signs towards the Tatra National Park entrance at 'Dolina Kościeliska'. Park your car at the designated parking area near the entrance, which typically costs around 20 PLN for a full day. From the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 3 km to reach Lodowe Źródło.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Zakopane to Kościelisko. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 20 minutes. You will need to get off at the Kościelisko stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards the Tatra National Park entrance at 'Dolina Kościeliska'. It is about a 30-minute walk from the bus stop to the park entrance. Once you enter the park, the hike to Lodowe Źródło is approximately 3 km and will take about 1 hour. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for return times to Zakopane.
Hiking
