Discovering the Majesty of Small Goat Peak

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Zakopane, which is the nearest major town to Small Goat Peak. Drive north on the S7 road, then take the exit towards Zakopane Center. Follow the signs to the Tatra National Park entrance. There is a car park at the entrance, and parking fees apply, which are usually around 20 PLN for a full day. From the car park, follow the red trail (Szlak pieszy czerwony) directly towards Small Goat Peak. The hike will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, take a bus from Kraków to Zakopane, which takes about 2 hours and costs around 30 PLN. From Zakopane bus station, you can either walk or take a local bus to the Tatra National Park entrance. Local buses usually operate every 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the park entrance, pay the entrance fee (approximately 10 PLN) and follow the red trail (Szlak pieszy czerwony) towards Small Goat Peak. The hike will take about 2-3 hours.

• Hiking

  Once you are on the red trail from the park entrance, follow the well-marked signs leading to Small Goat Peak. The trail is rocky and can be steep in some sections, so wear appropriate hiking shoes. Keep an eye out for trail markers to ensure you stay on the correct path. Along the way, you will encounter beautiful scenery and possibly wildlife. Remember to bring water and snacks for the hike, as there are no facilities on the trail.
