Car

If you are traveling by car, start from Zakopane, which is the main town in the Tatra Mountains. Head northwest on national road DK47 towards Kiry. After approximately 10 km, turn left onto the road leading to the Dolina Kościeliska valley. Continue on this road until you reach the parking area at the entrance of the valley. Parking fees typically cost around 10-20 PLN per day. From the parking area, follow the yellow hiking trail (Szlak pieszy żółty) that leads to Smocza Jama Cave. The hike takes about 30-40 minutes.

Public Transportation

To reach Smocza Jama Cave via public transportation, take a bus from Zakopane to Kiry. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Kiry, walk towards the Dolina Kościeliska valley. You will find the yellow hiking trail (Szlak pieszy żółty) at the entrance of the valley. The hike to Smocza Jama Cave takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance as the buses may not run late in the evening.
