Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Zakopane, a popular base for exploring the Tatra Mountains. Head north on Droga do Olczy towards Tatrzańska Polanka. Continue driving until you reach the intersection with the Dolina Kościeliska road. Turn left onto this road. Drive to the end of the road where you will find the parking area at the entrance to the Tatra National Park. Parking fees may apply, so be prepared to pay around 30 PLN for a full day. From the parking area, continue on foot through the scenic trails leading to Wielka Siklawa.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Zakopane to Witów. The bus station is located near the center of Zakopane. Look for connections to Witów, which run frequently. The ticket price is around 5-10 PLN. Once you arrive in Witów, you will need to walk to the starting point of the trails leading to Wielka Siklawa. Follow the signs for the hiking paths, which will guide you through the beautiful mountain scenery. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes.
Hiking
After reaching the entrance to Tatra National Park, the hike to Wielka Siklawa takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the marked trails, and enjoy the stunning landscapes. The trail is well-maintained, although it can be steep in certain sections. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to the waterfall. Remember to bring water and snacks, as facilities are limited along the way.
