    If you are driving from Albufeira, head southwest on Av. da Liberdade toward Rua 25 de Abril. Continue straight to stay on Av. da Liberdade, which will turn into N395. After about 5 kilometers, turn left onto N125, following signs for Faro. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers, then take the exit towards Faro. Follow the signs for Faro center. Once in the city, follow directions to Praça do Afonso III. The Cidade Velha is located at this square.
