Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location on the Alentejo Coast, head towards the A6 motorway. Take the exit towards Évora (exit 3) and merge onto the N114 road. Continue on the N114 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach Évora. Once you arrive in the city, follow signs for the city center. Use GPS or maps to navigate to Largo do Conde de Vila Flor, where Templo Romano Évora is located. Keep in mind that parking may be limited in the city center, so look for designated parking areas nearby.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Évora using public transportation, you can take a train or bus from major cities like Lisbon or Faro. If you are in Lisbon, head to the Sete Rios bus terminal or the Rossio train station to catch a bus or train to Évora. The train journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, while the bus may take slightly longer. Upon arriving at the Évora bus or train station, you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take a local taxi to Largo do Conde de Vila Flor, where Templo Romano Évora is situated. Expect to pay around €10-€20 for a taxi.

  If you are already in Évora and wish to explore on foot, the Templo Romano Évora is centrally located. From the main square (Praça do Giraldo), head southwest towards Rua 5 de Outubro. Continue straight until you reach Largo do Conde de Vila Flor. The temple is easily visible and is a short 10-minute walk from the main square.
