At the Setúbal bus terminal, look for the bus line that goes to 'Forte de São Filipe' or 'Castelo de São Filipe'. The buses are usually marked with their destination. The bus ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the closest stop to the fortress, which is a short walk away.

After getting off the bus, head towards Estr. do Castelo de São Filipe. Follow the signs directing you towards the fortress. The walk is uphill and might take around 15-20 minutes. Be sure to enjoy the beautiful views along the way as you approach the Forte de São Filipe.
