    From the Cascais train station, board the train towards Sintra. Make sure to check the train schedules as they may vary. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Mafra station. From the station, head northeast towards the main road (Avenida de Portugal). Turn left and walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the center of Mafra. The Mafra National Palace, located at Terreiro D. João V, will be on your right.

    At the Cascais bus terminal, find the bus line that goes to Mafra. You may need to check the local bus schedule or ask at the information desk for the correct bus number. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mafra bus station, walk towards the town center by heading northeast along Avenida de Portugal for about 10 minutes. The Mafra National Palace will be located at Terreiro D. João V on your right.
