Step Back in Time at the Ancien Wagon de Tramway

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the Coimbra City Center, head towards the Praça da República. From the square, take Avenida de Sá da Bandeira heading southwest. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua de Infante Dom Henrique. Walk straight until you reach Rua da Alegria. Turn left onto Rua da Alegria and continue walking for about 300 meters. The Ancien wagon de tramway will be on your right at number 152.

• Public Transport

  Start at the main bus station, Estação Nova. Take bus line 34, which is going towards São Martinho do Bispo. Get off at the 'Alegria' stop, which is approximately a 10-minute ride. Once you exit the bus, walk back along Rua da Alegria for about 150 meters, and you will find Ancien wagon de tramway located at number 152 on your left.

• Walking from Coimbra Train Station

  From Coimbra Train Station, exit and head towards Av. Fernão de Magalhães. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rua da Alegria. Turn right onto Rua da Alegria and continue walking for about 700 meters. You will see the Ancien wagon de tramway at number 152 on your right.
