Bus
From Coimbra city center, head to the main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Coimbra, located at Av. Fernão de Magalhães. You can reach the bus station on foot from Praça da República or by taking a local bus. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the bus heading towards Arganil or another local town that connects to Serra do Açor. The journey should take about 30-45 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you wish to get off at the stop for Serra do Açor Protected Landscape. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the entrance of the park.

Start your journey at Coimbra-B train station. Take a train towards the town of Arganil. Upon arrival at Arganil station, exit and look for the local bus service that connects to Serra do Açor. Buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. After disembarking, follow the signage to enter the Serra do Açor Protected Landscape.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk from Coimbra to Serra do Açor, but be prepared for a long hike. Start from the city center and head towards the hills. Follow the main road towards the north, which will lead you to the outskirts of Coimbra. After about 10km, you'll reach the entry point of the Serra do Açor. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as the paths can be narrow and winding. It's advisable to start early and bring plenty of water and snacks.
