Getting There

Walking
From the center of Évora, head towards Praça do Giraldo, the main square. Once there, locate the Rua 5 de Outubro, which leads north out of the square. Follow this street straight until you reach the intersection with Rua da Liberdade. Turn left onto Rua da Liberdade and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de São Sebastião. Continue on this avenue until you reach a fork in the road. Keep to the right, and then take a left onto Rua do Esporão. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the Castle of Esporão on your right.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the main bus station in Évora, take the bus line that heads towards the outskirts of the city. Ask the driver for the stop closest to the Castle of Esporão, as they are familiar with tourist destinations. Once you disembark, follow the main road in the direction indicated by the bus driver. After a short walk, you will arrive at the castle.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer a bicycle, you can rent one from any of the local bike rental shops in Évora. Start from the Praça do Giraldo and head north towards Rua 5 de Outubro. Follow the same route as the walking directions, but cycling will allow you to reach the Castle of Esporão faster. Keep a steady pace and enjoy the beautiful scenery along Avenida de São Sebastião until you arrive at the castle.
