Bus
From the center of Évora, head to the main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Évora, located at Praça do Giraldo. Look for a bus heading to Vila Viçosa; the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Buses typically run every hour. Once you arrive at the Vila Viçosa bus station, exit the station and walk straight along Avenida da Liberdade for about 10 minutes until you reach the Igreja de São Bartolomeu, which will be on your right.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Évora from one of the local shops. Start by heading out of the city center towards the N4 road. Follow the road signs towards Vila Viçosa, which is approximately 30 km away. The route is mostly flat and scenic, taking you through beautiful countryside. Once you arrive in Vila Viçosa, park your bicycle and walk towards the Igreja de São Bartolomeu, which is located in the town center.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, it's quite a distance (approximately 30 km) from Évora to Vila Viçosa, which may take several hours. Start at Praça do Giraldo and follow the N4 road out of Évora. Take precautions as the road can be busy. After about 7 km, you will reach the village of Nossa Senhora da Graça do Divor, where you can take a short break. Continue following the N4, and after about 30 km, you will arrive in Vila Viçosa. Once you enter the town, head towards the center to find the Igreja de São Bartolomeu.
