    From the Guimarães train station, exit onto Av. Dom João IV. Walk straight for about 700 meters until you reach Praça de São Tiago. Turn right onto Rua de São Tiago and continue until you reach Rua de Santa Maria. Turn left on Rua de Santa Maria and walk for another 200 meters. You will arrive at the historic center of Guimarães. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of the square, then take a left onto Rua de Oliveira. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the bus station, where you can catch a bus to Póvoa de Varzim. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once in Póvoa de Varzim, head towards R. Ten. Veiga Leal, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. The Castelo da Póvoa will be on your left.

    From the Guimarães bus station, take the bus heading to Póvoa de Varzim. Buses are available frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive in Póvoa de Varzim, exit the bus at the main bus terminal. From there, head south on Rua 1º de Maio toward Avenida dos Descobrimentos. Turn right onto Avenida dos Descobrimentos and continue straight until you reach R. Ten. Veiga Leal. The Castelo da Póvoa will be at number 40 on your right.
