Walking
If you are in the city center of Guimarães, head towards the main square, Praça de Santiago. From there, walk northwest along Rua de São Francisco until you reach the intersection with Av. dos Descobrimentos. Turn right onto Av. dos Descobrimentos and continue straight. After about 15 minutes, you will see a sign for Braga. Continue on the main road which will eventually turn into Av. Central as you enter Braga. The Congregados Basilica will be located on your left at Av. Central 98.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Guimarães city center, head to the main bus station located at Avenida Dom Afonso Henriques. Purchase a ticket to Braga; the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Braga bus station, exit and walk towards Av. Central. Turn left and walk straight; the Congregados Basilica will be at Av. Central 98, just a few blocks away from the bus station.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Guimarães to Braga. You can find a taxi at any major square or call one to your location. The ride should take approximately 20 minutes, and you will be dropped off directly at Congregados Basilica, located at Av. Central 98.
