Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Guimarães, head towards the Praça de S. Tiago. Walk straight along Rua de São Paulo until you reach the intersection with Avenida de João IV. Turn left onto Avenida de João IV, and continue walking for about 15 minutes. You will pass by several shops and cafes along the way. As you approach the city center, you will see signs directing you towards Braga. Continue straight, and when you reach the roundabout, take the second exit. You will soon see Largo Carlos Amarante on your right.

• Bus

  From Guimarães city center, walk to the bus station located at Avenida Dom João IV. Once there, look for bus services heading to Braga. Buses are quite frequent, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey to Braga will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Braga, exit the bus station and walk straight ahead for about 5 minutes. Largo Carlos Amarante will be on your left, just past the main square.
