    If you are starting from the Guimarães train station, exit the station and head south on Avenida da República. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua de São Paulo. After about 300 meters, you will arrive at Praça de S. Tiago. From here, you will see the historic city center ahead. Continue straight through the square and follow the signs to the historical area. Once you reach the Largo da Oliveira, turn left onto Rua do Arco and continue until you reach Largo da Misericórdia, which will be on your right.

    If you are in the city center, for example at the Praça da República, start by heading east on Rua de S. Bento. Walk straight for about 400 meters until you reach Largo da Oliveira. From Largo da Oliveira, take Rua do Arco to your right. Continue straight until you reach Largo da Misericórdia, which will be on your right side.
