If you are in the city center of Guimarães, start at the Praça de São Tiago. Head southeast on Rua de São Tiago, continuing until you reach the intersection with Avenida Dom João IV. Turn left onto Avenida Dom João IV and walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the train station, Estação de Guimarães. From there, you can catch a train to Braga. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes.

From the center of Guimarães, take the bus from the bus terminal located near the Praça de São Tiago to Braga. Look for the bus companies that operate on this route, such as Rede Expressos or other local services. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the bus station in Braga, you can walk to Palácio do Raio by heading northeast on Avenida da Liberdade, then turning right onto Rua do Raio which leads directly to the Palácio.
