Start at the Guimarães train station. Exit the station and head southeast on Avenida de Dom João IV. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rua de São Paulo. Turn right onto Rua de São Paulo and walk for approximately 500 meters. You will come to a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenida de Afonso Henriques. Continue straight for another 600 meters, passing by several local shops and cafes. After you pass the Praça de S. Tiago on your left, continue straight until you reach the entrance of Parque da Cidade on your left.
Public Transport

From the Guimarães city center, locate the bus stop at Praça de S. Tiago. Board bus number 5 towards Senhora da Graça. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. Disembark at the 'Parque da Cidade' stop. After getting off, walk a short distance to the entrance of Parque da Cidade, which will be right in front of you.
