Walking
From the historic city center of Guimarães, start at Praça da Oliveira. Head northwest on Rua de Santo António toward Rua Francisco de Holanda. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights at the junction with Avenida de Conde Margaride. Cross the avenue and continue straight onto Rua Aristides de Sousa Mendes. The Penha Cable Car station is located at number 37 on this street. It should take approximately 20 minutes to walk from the city center.
