The scenic drive takes about 30 minutes from Funchal. There is a parking lot available at the viewpoint, and parking is free.

To reach Cape Girão by public transport, take the bus number 7 from Funchal, which heads towards Câmara de Lobos. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Câmara de Lobos main bus station. From there, you will need to switch to a local taxi or find the bus heading directly to the viewpoint, as the bus service may not run directly to Cape Girão. A taxi ride will cost around €10-€15 for the short distance to the viewpoint.
