Getting There

  • Metro

    From Porto, make your way to the São Bento Metro Station. Take the Metro Line D (blue line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the last stop, which is the 'Bolhão' station. Once you exit the station, walk to the nearby bus terminal and take the bus number 51 or 52 towards Braga. The bus will take you directly to Braga. Once you arrive at Braga, head towards Av. Central. Walk straight for about 15 minutes, and the Congregados Basilica will be on your right.

  • Train

    From Porto, go to the São Bento Train Station. Purchase a ticket to Braga. The train journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Braga's train station, exit and turn left onto Rua Dr. José Pires de Lima. Continue walking straight until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Av. Central. The Congregados Basilica will be on your left after about a 10-minute walk.

  • Bus

    From Porto, take a local bus from the Campo 24 de Agosto bus terminal. Look for the bus lines that go to Braga, specifically the 'Transdev' bus service. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Upon arriving at Braga, exit the bus and walk down Av. Central. The Congregados Basilica is a prominent landmark located at Av. Central 98, just a short walk from the bus stop.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Braga, you can easily reach the Congregados Basilica by walking. Start from the Braga City Center and head towards Rua do Raio. Continue straight until you reach Praça da República, a large square. From there, take Av. Central and walk for about 10 minutes. The Congregados Basilica will be located on your right at Av. Central 98.
