Travel Guide to Lagoas de Grade

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Ponte de Lima, head southeast towards the bridge over the Lima River. Cross the bridge and immediately turn left onto the N202 road. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards 'Grade' and 'Lagoas de Grade'. The path will take you through scenic countryside where you can enjoy the views. Continue walking until you reach a fork in the road, then take the right path which leads you directly to Lagoas de Grade. The lagoons will be visible from a distance, and follow the path down to the water's edge.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Ponte de Lima. Start at the center and cycle towards the N202 road, heading southeast. Follow the route as described above for walking, but cycling will allow you to cover the distance faster. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes depending on your speed. Make sure to keep an eye out for signs to Lagoas de Grade as you approach, and take the right fork at the junction to arrive at the lagoons.

• Public Transport

  While there is no direct public transport to Lagoas de Grade, you can take a local bus towards Grade from the Ponte de Lima bus station. Check the schedule for buses heading in that direction. Once you arrive at Grade, disembark at the nearest stop and follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Lagoas de Grade, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.
