Walking
From the center of Ponte de Lima, head south towards the Ponte de Lima Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight along the path that runs parallel to the river. After about 1.5 km, you will see signs directing you to Guimarães. Follow the signs which will lead you to the bus station. At the bus station, take a bus heading to Guimarães. Once you arrive in Guimarães, disembark at the main bus terminal. From there, you can take a local taxi or continue walking. If you choose to walk, head north on Rua de Aviz, then turn left onto EM579. Continue straight for about 1 km, and Parque da Penha will be on your right.
Public Transport
Start at the main square in Ponte de Lima, Praça da República. Locate the nearest bus stop and check the schedule for buses heading to Guimarães. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk or onboard the bus. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Guimarães bus terminal, follow the signs to the exit. From the terminal, either take a local taxi or use public transport by catching a bus that goes towards Parque da Penha. If you prefer to walk, head north on Rua de Aviz, turn left onto EM579, and walk straight for about 1 km until you reach the park.
