Getting There

Metro
If you are near the São Bento Metro Station, take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) in the direction of Hospital de S. João. Get off at the stop called 'Trindade' (2 stops). From Trindade, transfer to Line A (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the 'Casa da Música' station. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk. Exit the metro and head east on Avenida da Boavista. Continue straight until you reach Rua de Júlio Dinis, then turn left. Continue straight until you reach Rua de São Lourenço where the Igreja de São Lourenço and the Convento dos Grilos is located.

Bus
You can take the bus number 200 from the Aliados bus stop. Board the bus heading towards 'Campo 24 de Agosto' and get off at the stop called 'Santo Ildefonso'. From there, walk east on Rua de Santo Ildefonso until you reach the intersection with Rua de São Lourenço. Turn right onto Rua de São Lourenço, and you will find Igreja de São Lourenço and the Convento dos Grilos a short distance ahead on your left.

Walking
If you are in the central area of Porto, such as Avenida dos Aliados, you can walk to Igreja de São Lourenço and the Convento dos Grilos. Head south on Avenida dos Aliados towards Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Continue onto Rua de Santa Catarina, and then turn right onto Rua de São Lourenço. The church will be located on your left side, just a few blocks down.

Tram
Take the historic Tram Line 1 from the Ribeira area, heading towards Passeio Alegre. Get off at the stop called 'Foz'. From there, you can either walk along the river or take a bus to get closer to the church. If walking, head back towards the city along Avenida de Montevideu, then turn left onto Rua de São Lourenço. The church will be located down the street.
