Getting There

Metro
If you are starting from the city center, make your way to the 'São Bento' metro station. Take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards 'Hospital de São João'. Stay on the train for approximately 15 minutes and get off at 'Jardim do Morro' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the viewpoint, which offers stunning views of the Douro River and Porto. Continue downhill towards the river, and cross the Dom Luís I Bridge.

After crossing the Dom Luís I Bridge, you will be in Vila Nova de Gaia. Walk straight along the waterfront, passing several wine cellars. Continue until you reach Rua de Serpa Pinto. Turn left onto Rua de Serpa Pinto and walk until you arrive at Alameda da. The Museu da 1ª Demarcação - Real Companhia Velha will be located at Alameda da, R. de Serpa Pinto 44B.

From Trindade metro station, take bus number 901 towards 'Cais de Gaia'. The bus will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Cais de Gaia' stop, located near the river. From there, walk uphill towards Rua de Serpa Pinto, then turn left onto it. Continue walking until you reach the museum at Alameda da, R. de Serpa Pinto 44B.

From the historic area of Porto, walk to the 'Cordoaria Nacional' tram stop. Take the Tram Line 1 towards 'Infante' and enjoy a scenic ride along the river. Get off at the 'Cais de Gaia' stop. Walk uphill to Rua de Serpa Pinto, turn left, and head towards Alameda da. The museum will be on your left at R. de Serpa Pinto 44B.
