Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Ribeira district, head northeast along the riverfront towards the Dom Luís I Bridge. Cross the bridge and once you reach the other side, continue straight until you reach Praça da Liberdade. From there, take Rua de Santa Catarina, which will lead you up through the city. Follow the street until you reach the intersection with Rua do Almada. Turn left onto Rua do Almada and continue until you reach the end of the street. Here, you will find the Cathedral of Porto (Sé do Porto) located at Terreiro da Sé, 4050-573 Porto. The walk should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

  • Metro

    If you are near a metro station, take the Metro do Porto Line D (the yellow line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the São Bento station. At São Bento, exit the station and walk towards Praça da Liberdade.
