Walking
From the Setúbal city center, head southwest on Avenida Luísa Todi towards Praça do Brasil. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront promenade. Turn right onto the promenade and follow it along the waterfront. After about 15 minutes, you will come to the main street, Avenida da Liberdade. Turn left onto Avenida da Liberdade and continue walking. After about 10 minutes, you will see a sign for the Ruínas da Igreja de Santa Maria do Castelo on your right. Follow the signs and head up the slope to reach the ruins.

Public Transport
Start at Setúbal train station. Take bus number 5 or 6 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Praça do Brasil'. From there, walk towards the waterfront and follow the promenade. Continue until you reach Avenida da Liberdade, then turn left. After about a 10-minute walk, look for the signs indicating the Ruínas da Igreja de Santa Maria do Castelo. Follow the signs up the hill to reach the ruins.
