Bus
From the center of Sintra, walk to the Sintra bus station located at Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda. Take the bus number 403 towards Almada. The bus ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Cerro do Castelo' and walk up Alameda do Castelo for about 5 minutes until you reach Castelo de Almada.
Train and Bus
Start at Sintra train station. Take the train to Lisbon (Lisboa) and get off at the Cais do Sodré station. From there, transfer to the green metro line towards Telheiras and get off at the stop 'Alameda'. Once you exit the metro, head to the bus stop and take bus number 101 towards Almada. Get off at 'Cerro do Castelo' and walk up Alameda do Castelo for about 5 minutes to reach Castelo de Almada.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of Almada, you can walk to Castelo de Almada. From the Almada city center, head towards Avenida Dom Afonso Henriques. Continue straight until you reach Alameda do Castelo, where you will see signs directing you to the castle. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes.
