Walking
From Sintra's historic center, head towards the Sintra train station. As you exit the station, turn left and walk down the Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira. Turn right onto Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, and the Museu Benfica Cosme Damião will be on your left at Porta 9.

From Sintra, take the Scotturb bus line 435 from the Sintra station towards Lisbon. Get off at the 'Campo Grande' stop. From there, walk towards the metro station and take the metro on the green line heading towards Cais do Sodré. Change at the 'Alameda' station to the red line, and continue towards the 'Aeroporto' station. Get off at 'São Sebastião' station. Exit the station and walk towards Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira. The Museu Benfica Cosme Damião will be a short walk away on your left.

Take the train from Sintra to Rossio station in Lisbon. Once at Rossio station, exit and walk towards Praça da Figueira. You can catch the number 28 tram from there, which will take you through the city. Get off at the 'Martim Moniz' stop and transfer to the metro at 'Martim Moniz' station, taking the green line towards Cais do Sodré. Change at 'Alameda' station to the red line, heading towards 'Aeroporto'. Get off at 'São Sebastião' station and exit towards Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira. The museum will be on your left.
