Getting There

Walking
From the Sintra train station, exit and head towards the main road (Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda). Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Sintra town center. You will see the National Palace of Sintra on your right. Continue past the palace and follow the signs for 'Palácio da Pena.' After about 15 minutes, you will reach the entrance of the Parque da Pena. From here, take the path that leads uphill towards the palace, and keep going straight. As you walk through the park, look for signs pointing to 'Villa Sassetti.' The villa is located at Estrada da Pena 12, at the edge of the park, and should take about 20 minutes to reach from the palace area.

From the Sintra train station, take the Scotturb bus 434, which goes directly to the Palácio da Pena. The bus stop is located right outside the station. Once you arrive at the Palácio da Pena stop, you can either walk back down or follow the signs towards Villa Sassetti, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the palace. Just head down the same road you came up, and you will find Villa Sassetti on your left.
