Walking
From the central square, Praça da República, head towards the east side of the square, where you will see a large fountain. Walk straight along Rua da Bandeira for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Turn right onto Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra and continue walking for another 150 meters. The Igreja da Misericórdia will be on your left at Praça da República 62.

Locate the nearest bus stop, which is usually found near the central square, Praça da República. Take the bus heading towards 'Centro' or 'Igreja da Misericórdia' (make sure to check the bus route signs). The ride should take around 5-10 minutes. Get off at the 'Igreja da Misericórdia' stop, and the church will be directly in front of you at Praça da República 62.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from the center of Viana do Castelo. Head east on Rua da Bandeira, then turn right onto Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra. Follow this road for about 150 meters. The Igreja da Misericórdia will be on your left at Praça da República 62. There are bike racks available nearby for parking.
