From the center of Vila Real, head towards Avenida Carvalho Araújo. Follow this avenue until you reach the junction with Rua de Santa Ana. Turn left onto Rua de Santa Ana and continue straight. After about 500 meters, you’ll reach the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Vila Real). From there, take the bus to Guimarães. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Guimarães, disembark at the bus terminal and head towards the main exit. From the bus terminal, walk towards Praça de São Tiago and then follow the signs to Parque da Penha, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill. Enjoy the scenic route as you approach the park.

Begin at the central bus station in Vila Real (Terminal Rodoviário de Vila Real). Purchase a ticket to Guimarães at the ticket counter or from the automated machine. Board the bus that is heading to Guimarães; these buses run regularly throughout the day. Upon arrival at Guimarães bus station, exit the station and walk towards the main square (Praça de São Tiago). From here, follow the path leading uphill towards Parque da Penha, which will take approximately 20 minutes on foot. Look for signs directing you to the park entrance.
