Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Lagos, take the A22 motorway heading east towards Faro. Continue on the A22 for about 50 kilometers until you reach the exit for Faro (Exit 11). Merge onto the N125 and follow the signs for Faro. Once in Faro, follow the signs to the city center. You will arrive at Largo D. Afonso III, where Fado no Museu is located. Look for parking options nearby as parking in the city center can be limited.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Fado no Museu using public transport, you can take a train from Lagos to Faro. The train station in Faro is a short walk from the museum. Once you arrive in Faro, exit the train station and head southeast on Avenida da República. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Rua de Portugal, and continue straight until you reach Largo D. Afonso III. The museum will be on your left.

  • Car

    If you are coming from Albufeira, take the A22 motorway towards Faro. Stay on the A22 for about 40 kilometers. Take Exit 11 towards Faro and merge onto the N125. Follow the signs to the city center. Once you reach Largo D. Afonso III, you will find Fado no Museu. Look for parking as you approach the city center.

    From Albufeira, take the bus to Faro. The bus station is located near the city center. Once you arrive in Faro, walk towards the train station and then follow Avenida da República southeast.
