Walking
If you are in the center of Arecibo, start at Plaza de Arecibo (the main square). From the plaza, head north on Calle Santiago Veve. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle San Felipe. Turn right onto Calle San Felipe and walk for about 10 minutes. You will pass several local shops and eateries. After 10 minutes, you will see a sign for Playa Mar Chiquita on your left. Follow the sign, and it will lead you down a path to the beach.

Public Bus
Locate the nearest bus stop in Arecibo. You can take the local bus that heads towards the northern beaches. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach Playa Mar Chiquita. The bus ride should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off the bus, follow the path down to the beach which is a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Arecibo. Start from the rental shop and head north on Avenida Pedro L. Torres. After about 15 minutes, turn left onto PR-655, which will take you directly to Playa Mar Chiquita. The ride is scenic and takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive, you can lock your bike at the designated bike rack near the beach entrance.
