Getting There

• Bus

  If you're in Cabo Rojo, head to the main bus terminal located on Calle José de Diego. Look for a bus heading towards Lajas or La Parguera, as these buses frequently stop in La Parguera. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in La Parguera, disembark at the main stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to La Parguera. Head east on Calle José de Diego and continue straight until you reach the coast.

• Bicycle

  For adventurous tourists, renting a bicycle is a great option. Start at the Cabo Rojo Plaza and head west on Route 100. Follow the signs towards Lajas. The ride is around 10 miles and will take approximately 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to hydrate and wear sunscreen! Once you reach Lajas, follow the local signs to La Parguera, which is easily accessible by bike.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and are staying relatively close, you can walk to La Parguera. Starting from Cabo Rojo's main plaza, head south on Route 100. It's a long walk of about 6 miles, which will take around 2-3 hours. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water. When you reach Lajas, follow the signs to La Parguera, and you’ll find it a short distance away from the main road.

• Taxi

  For a more convenient option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Cabo Rojo directly to La Parguera. Simply ask your hotel or any local for assistance in calling a taxi. The drive will take around 20-30 minutes, and the fare should be discussed beforehand to avoid confusion. Most taxi drivers will know the way to La Parguera, so just let them know your destination.
