From Dorado, head to the nearest bus stop where you can catch the public bus (Guagua) towards Arecibo. The buses are usually located near the Plaza de Recreo in Dorado. Make sure to ask the driver if they are heading to Arecibo. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Arecibo, you can get off at the main bus terminal. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers towards the coast. Head east on Route 2 and then take a left onto Carr. 681. Continue straight until you reach La Poza del Obispo.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can call a local taxi service from your hotel or a nearby restaurant. Instruct the driver to take you to La Poza del Obispo in Arecibo. Make sure to confirm the fare before the journey. The ride will take around 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the beach will be easily visible, and you can ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest access point.

If you are feeling adventurous and are staying near the coast, you can walk towards Arecibo. Start by heading to Route 2 and then follow the path that leads toward the coast. It’s about a 12-15 kilometer walk, which might take around 2 to 3 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated. As you approach Arecibo, follow signs towards the beach area, and La Poza del Obispo will be one of the first beaches you encounter.
