Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the main entrance of El Yunque National Forest, take Route 191 south towards the main road. After about 10 minutes, merge onto Route 66 towards San Juan. Continue for about 15 miles and take the exit toward Avenida Muñoz Rivera. Follow the signs for PR-1/PR-26. Once you reach San Juan, keep left to stay on PR-26. Take the exit toward San Juan Antiguo. Keep going straight, and you will reach Calle San Francisco. Turn left onto C. de San Francisco. The Museo del Mar will be on your right at 360 C. de San Francisco.

    To get to Museo del Mar using public transportation, start at the El Yunque Visitor Center. Take the public bus (Guagua) from the Visitor Center to the nearest bus terminal. From there, take a bus heading towards San Juan. Once you arrive at the San Juan bus terminal, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Calle San Francisco. Ask the driver to drop you off at 360 C. de San Francisco, which is where the Museo del Mar is located.
