Start at the main beach area in Luquillo. Head east along the beachfront promenade until you reach the end of the beach. Continue walking on the main road, PR-988, which runs parallel to the beach. Keep walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of El Yunque National Forest. You will see a sign for the forest on your left. Walk into the forest area, and follow the signs for Vereda Angelito. The path will lead you to the swimming hole, which is a popular spot for tourists.

From the main plaza in Luquillo, look for a local bus that heads towards El Yunque National Forest. Buses usually run every 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the entrance to El Yunque. Once you arrive, exit the bus and walk towards the main entrance of the forest. Follow the signs directing you to Vereda Angelito, which is a short hike from the entrance.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Luquillo. Start at the rental location and head east towards PR-988. Follow PR-988 for about 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of El Yunque National Forest. Park your bicycle at the designated area near the entrance.
