Walking
If you are starting from the popular tourist area of Old San Juan, make your way to Calle San Francisco. Walk down this street until you reach Plaza de Armas, a central square filled with shops and cafes. From Plaza de Armas, head towards Calle de la Fortaleza and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle San José. Turn right onto Calle San José and follow it as it curves left into Calle del Cristo. Continue on until you reach the iconic San Juan Gate (Puerta de San Juan). After passing through the gate, you will see the waterfront. Head to the left along the coastal path until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Marina. Turn right onto Calle de la Marina, and shortly after, you will find Bastión de Santa Elena on your left, at the coordinates FV9G+8VG.
