If you are in Old San Juan, you can easily walk to the San Juan National Historic Site. Start at Plaza de Armas and head northeast on Calle San Francisco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Fortaleza. Turn left onto Calle de la Fortaleza and walk until you reach the intersection with Calle San José. Turn right onto Calle San José and follow it until you see the entrance to the site on your right.

To reach the San Juan National Historic Site using public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop for the 'Publico' (shared taxi vans). Look for the 'Calle de la Fortaleza' route and take the van heading towards San Juan Antiguo. Get off at the stop closest to the San Juan National Historic Site, then walk a short distance towards the entrance located at FVCG+5HX, San Juan, 00901.
