    Getting There

    Car

    If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-95 S from your current location in Rhode Island. Follow I-95 S for approximately 20 miles until you reach exit 9 for I-295 S toward New York. Merge onto I-295 S and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 1A to merge onto US-1 S toward Narragansett. Stay on US-1 S for about 10 miles until you reach RI-138 E. Take the exit onto RI-138 E and follow it for about 8 miles until it merges with RI-114 S. Follow RI-114 S into Newport. Once in Newport, continue on Memorial Blvd, which will turn into Ocean Ave. The Cliff Walk will be on your right at 34 Ocean Ave. There is free parking available along Ocean Ave, but it can fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons.

    Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, start by taking the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus. You can catch the #60 bus from Providence to Newport, which runs regularly throughout the day. The bus fare is $2.00, and you can pay with cash or a RIPTA pass. Once you arrive in Newport at the Newport Gateway Center, transfer to the #67 bus heading toward Ocean Drive. The fare remains $2.00. Get off the bus at the Ocean Ave and Easton’s Beach stop. From there, it's a short walk to The Cliff Walk, approximately 0.5 miles along Ocean Ave. Follow the road until you see the entrance to The Cliff Walk at 34 Ocean Ave.
