Walking
If you are in the main town area of Block Island (New Shoreham), start at the Block Island Ferry terminal. Head east on Water Street until you reach the intersection with Chapel Street. Turn left onto Chapel Street and continue until you reach Spring Street. Turn right onto Spring Street and follow it as it curves into Old Town Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Clay Head Trail. Turn left onto Clay Head Trail, and you will find the entrance to the Clay Head Nature Trail a short distance ahead.
Biking
If you have rented a bike, start in the town center. Ride south on Water Street, then turn left onto Chapel Street. Follow Chapel Street until it intersects with Spring Street, then turn right. Continue straight on Spring Street, which becomes Old Town Road. After approximately 1.5 miles, turn left onto Clay Head Trail. The entrance to the Clay Head Nature Trail will be on your left.
Public Transportation (Shuttle)
Check if there is a local shuttle service operating from the town center to the Clay Head Nature Trail. If available, board the shuttle at the designated stop in town. Inform the driver that you are heading to Clay Head Nature Trail, and they will drop you off at the nearest stop. From there, follow the path signs leading you to the entrance of the trail.
