Car
From the main entrance of Burlingame State Park, head south on Burlingame State Park Rd. Continue until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (also known as Post Rd). Turn right onto Route 1 South. After approximately 5 miles, take the exit for Charlestown (Route 1A). Follow Route 1A until you reach the intersection with E Beach Rd. Turn right onto E Beach Rd, and continue straight for about 1 mile. East Beach will be on your left. Note that there may be a parking fee at the beach access point.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from the nearest bus stop in Charlestown. Board the RIPTA #63 bus heading towards Narragansett. Get off at the stop near Route 1A and E Beach Rd intersection. From there, it is a short walk down E Beach Rd (approximately 1 mile) to reach East Beach. Be aware of the bus schedule as service may be limited on weekends.
Walking
If you are already within the park and prefer to walk, exit the main park area by heading north on Burlingame State Park Rd until you reach Route 1. From there, take a left on Route 1 South and follow the same directions as if you were driving. The walk may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so plan accordingly. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
