Car
From the main parking area of Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, head south on the refuge road until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (Post Road). Take a left onto Route 1 and continue for about 1.5 miles. Look for signs to Charlestown and East Beach. Turn right onto E Beach Rd. Continue straight for about 2 miles, and you will arrive at East Beach. There is limited parking available, so plan to arrive early, especially on weekends.

Public Transportation
Start at the main entrance of Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge and walk to the nearest bus stop for the RIPTA bus service. Take the bus heading towards Charlestown. You will need to transfer at the South County Commons bus terminal to catch the bus that goes to East Beach. The ride may take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on transfers. After arriving at the East Beach stop, it is a short walk to the beach entrance. Be aware that public transportation schedules may vary, so check the RIPTA website for the latest schedule.

If you prefer to bike, exit the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge and head south on the refuge road. Follow the same route as if driving; however, be cautious of traffic on Route 1. Biking to East Beach is approximately 3.5 miles and can be done via E Beach Rd. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all road safety rules. There are bike racks available at East Beach.
