    From the center of East Greenwich, head to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Take the RIPTA #60 bus towards Newport. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Newport Gateway Center. From there, transfer to the RIPTA #67 bus towards Bellevue Avenue. Get off at the Bellevue Avenue stop. Walk north on Bellevue Avenue for about 10 minutes, and you will find The Elms at 367 Bellevue Ave on your left.

    If you prefer to bike, start at East Greenwich Town Hall and head south on Main Street towards the waterfront. Continue onto the East Greenwich Bike Path, which will lead you through scenic views. Follow the path until you reach the end and merge onto Route 1A towards Newport. Continue on this route until you reach Bellevue Avenue. The Elms will be on your right. The total distance is approximately 10 miles, so plan for about an hour of biking.

  • Walking

    For a scenic walking route, start at the East Greenwich Town Beach and walk south along the shoreline towards the East Greenwich waterfront. Continue along the waterfront for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Newport Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, follow the signs to the pedestrian walkway. Cross the bridge and follow the signs to Newport. Once in Newport, continue along the waterfront until you reach Bellevue Avenue. The Elms will be approximately a 15-minute walk from the bridge on Bellevue Avenue.
