Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Narragansett Beach, head south on Ocean Road (RI-1A). Continue straight for approximately 3 miles. As you approach Salty Brine State Beach, you will see signs for the beach. Turn left onto Sand Hill Cove Road, and you will find the beach entrance on your right. There is a parking lot available, which may have a daily fee of around $10 during peak season.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Salty Brine State Beach via public transportation, you can take the RIPTA bus service. Board the #14 bus at any stop in Narragansett Beach heading towards Wakefield. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the Sand Hill Cove stop. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk (approximately 0.3 miles) east towards the beach entrance. Please check the RIPTA website for the current fare, which is typically around $2.00.
